The story begins when Jack meets the 31-year-old singer Ally, played by Lady Gaga, at a drag bar. Amazed by Ally’s performance and talent, Jack encourages Ally to continue her dream and helps her to build the fame. But as Ally's career takes off, Jack falls off the wagon, which also jeopardizes their romantic relationship.
